Antica Torino is a partnership and project of passion between Vittorio Zoppi and Umbrian wine maker Filippo Antonelli. Rather than seeking out the exotic, often imported botanicals that go into more modern styled vermouth, Antica Torino takes a page out of the history books, a time when vermouth was created utilizing what was readily available locally. The decision was made to produce a vermouth that was "of the garden", packed with fresh rosemary, bay laurel, thyme, oregano, wormwood, gentian, rhubarb, … more
Amaro dell'Etna has its roots on the slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily where a little over two dozen herbs, spices and aromatic plants grow. It embodies the volcanic and somewhat mineral nature of Sicilian soil and the ingredients local to there. Even now, after over 100 years, they still follow the original recipe and traditional approaches to production.
It contains no preservatives or artificial colouring agents and has a dark intense flavour thanks to the two-month infusion of herbs … more
The wine is deep amber in colour with golden highlights. On the nose, the sweet notes of dried fruit, hazelnuts, chestnuts and honey are enriched by additional aromas of honey. The palate is full-bodied, honeyed, and invigorated by a vibrant vein of acidity.
Hailing from the lower slopes of the Dolomites are the wines of Antonio Fattori. Locally regarded as exceptionally talented in cultivating Garganega and Pinot Grigio and producing wines that speak of the place they came from. The Soave is top notch and a great value for the dollars. Peachy stone fruit and zesty citrus, with a hint of green almond and sea-spray minerality.

This wine is made from fruit grown by Larry and Angela at Cobbobonnee vineyard, west of Heywood in GI Henty, Victoria. 2022 was a cool year, with plenty of hen and chicken in the Pinot Gris creating loads of small berries in the bunches, which meant very good flavour. The fruit was destemmed and spent 2 days on skins prior to natural ferment starting. It then had 4 days of fermentation on skins prior to pressing. Fermentation was completed in … more
Ardbeg Ten Years Old 700ml is revered around the world as the peatiest, smokiest, most complex single malt in existence. Yet it does not flaunt the peat; rather it gives way to the natural sweetness of the malt to produce a whisky of perfect balance. Typically most whiskies are chill-filtered and reduced to a strength of 40% ABV. Ardbeg Ten Years Old, however, is non chill-filtered and has a strength of 46% ABV, thus retaining maximum flavour, at the same … more
Heady, intense and powerful. A collision of waxy dark chocolate, warm blackcurrants and muscovado sugar pulls you under its spell with a burst of plump cherries and earthy pine needles leaping from its depths. Salty seasoning brings a briny character with tangy crisp seaweed and smoky bacon swirling on the surface with hints of sweet vanilla, spicy cloves and blueberries.
Taste: Torrents of taste well up on the palate; deep, peppery and chewy, bombarding the tongue with its intense tastes … more
Ardbeg HEAVY VAPOURS is the most FULL-BLOWN Ardbeg ever!
Traditionally, during production the purifier catches the heaviest vapours which means that Ardbeg is not just "all peat" but gets a supremely balanced taste.
For the release of this batch the purifier was removed from the distillation process before being matured in classic Ardbeg casks. And this whisky is the consequence.
Heavy Vapours have risen, making this dram the most full-blown Ardbeg ever.
Ardbeg wash distilled without the purifier & matured … more
