A top notch example of how promising Aussie Tempranillo is, as our climate gets progressively hotter. With minimal oak influence to cloud it, Clarnette is a breath of fresh air amongst their heavily oaked peers. This wine is loaded with forest berry character, lively and fresh in the glass with earthy darkness to the back end of the palate.
"Sourced from the 1969-planted Westgate vineyard in the Grampians, aged nine months in French barriques (15% new). An auspicious debut for this new label started by Melanie Chester (winemaker at Giant Steps) and Ben Mullen (from Mulline) and their respective partners. A brilliant crimson purple. Geez, this smells good. Aromas of dark fruits, lavender, graphite, a little olive tapenade and garrigues. Textured with velvety, persistent tannins and bright acidity. A delicious wine, that while hard to keep your hands off … more

Pinot Blanc often gets lost in the shadows of it’s more famous Pinot siblings, which is a blessing in disguise. It means cracking wines in the hands of clever winemakers, like our mates at Granite Hills, at exceptional prices! This offering is a lovely, saline style with notes citrus pith, nashi pear and a whiff of summer honeysuckle.

Winery Notes - "Langi Shiraz is a revered benchmark for cool climate Australian Shiraz. From the fruit of old vines planted on our isolated vineyard in 1969, this landmark wine reveals the vibrant synergy between site and variety. The secret of what makes Langi Shiraz great lies in the unique character of the vines. The Langi Old Block shiraz vineyard dips and weaves across the landscape, proffering parcels of fruit of extreme complexity and stunning finesse. Each of these parcels … more
Finely structured tannins frame this medium bodied, generous wine, finishing with good balance and length. The Billi Billi Shiraz is sourced from a selection of premium cool climate vineyards throughout Victoria; predominantly the Grampians including a portion from the Mount Langi Ghiran vineyards. This cool climate source imparts a freshness onto the wine, with lifted florals on the nose and bright fruit that is underlaid by depper, more savoury shiraz characters like dark, black plums and soft whiffs of cocoa … more
From the soaring granitic hills of the Grampians, way up in hills of 800m elevation, comes this gorgeous Grenache. Rory’s style is relatively pared back, minimal fussy winemaking allows pure fruit character to sing. Think pink lady apples, juicy raspberries and a fragrant whiff of pink peppercorn.
'This has ‘classic’ written all over it. Classic cool climate Victorian shiraz. It’s bunchy, it’s peppery, it’s bold, it’s long, it’s tannic. There is no shortage of drama and yet everything is well combined and composed; nothing juts, nothing challenges, but at all times it expresses itself clearly and well. Blackberry and black cherry, graphite, black pepper, cloves, strings of salted herbs. It’s a meaty wine with both a flood of fruit and carves of dry tannin. A long haul … more
Winemaker Rory Lane has carved a name for himself by finding parcels of fruit from far flung places and showing us how beautiful they can be. This Rhône-style blend of marsanne, rousanne and viognier is textural and unctuous, a perfect wine to break tradition with if you're a lover of rich chardonnay.
