Famille Paquet Macon-Village "Nos Cinq Terroir" Chardonnay 2023
The Paquet family domaine was created in 1980 with transition in 2016 to the 3 sons who began conversion to organics. Macon makes some of the most approachable, delicious Burgundies that do not require too much patience to enjoy. Expect lively, vibrant flavours of grapefruit, honeysuckle, acacia & white roses work well with salty starters (nuts, olives) but goes equally well poultry & risotto for example - a perfect all-rounder.

Clos des Rocs Mâcon-Loché en Près Forêt 2021
Wines from the Mâcon are our favourite comfort drop, the best of them dripping in ripe yellow peach and orchard blossom scents, with a lick of French vanilla spice and lovely lemon citrus acidity. Clos des Rocs gives us all that and then some, their tiny parcel of fruit is loaded with minerality and vibrancy, tempering that richness and making for a beautifully balanced wine.

The estate currently has 6.8 hectares of vines, managed with respect for the environment, in organic farming (Ecocert certification) and the wines are made as naturally as possible. A mix of clay/limestone soil, the prelude is a blend of parcels in Chasselas and Prissé on 40 year old vines.
The wines spends 10 monts on lees in approximately 15% new oak, a rich yet well balanced Chardonnay with mineral and chalky notes.
