An Aussie Riesling with Alsatian DNA. Winemaker Lucas Blanck grew up in Alsace on his family estate - Domaine Paul Blanck. He now calls Australia home and quietly, we're quite thankful for that, as it means we see more of his delicious wines!
This Riesling is from a vineyard planted in the late 1980's in Red Hill. After picking & fermenting, it spent 8 months relaxing in old French barrels which has built texture & weight that we don’t usually associate with traditional ‘Aussie’ Riesling.
Lemon curd, shortbread, jasmine blossom are just some of the many unique characters that leap from the glass on first impressions... It’s medium rich for Riesling but all held together with fine lacy acidity and terrific delicate pithy notes that will see it age nicely.
