Rathdowne Cellars has been serving the community of Rathdowne Village since 1923, when it was established as a local licensed grocer.

Acquired by Eddie and Christine Kidd in the 1990s, they sought to transform this humble corner shop into one of Melbourne's premiere fine wine merchants. Eddie's passion for then emerging local producers like Craiglee, Bass Phillip and Crawford River, forged a core tenet that remains at the heart of this business - to love and celebrate our local industry, uplifting them to the same status as the wines of Europe and abroad. 

Eddie's son Cameron took ownership of the business in the early 2000s, and proudly remains at the helm today. Together with our small but experienced team, we focus on maintaining balance between accessibility and prestige in our range, ensuring we cater to the ever-changing tastes of our dedicated clientele.
