Rathdowne Cellars is committed to providing you with the best possible customer service experience. Please read the following Terms of Service before using this website. By using this website, it is understood you are in acceptance of the Terms of Service.

Stock On Hand

We are a single location, and advertise almost exclusively products that are in-stock at our premise or wine cellar. Excluding a handful of items and pre-order promotions, wines listed as available are stored in our temperature-controlled store or our offsite cellar. 

While every attempt is made to ensure our stock count is up to date, occasional discrepancies may occur. If you order something we cannot supply, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange an alternative or refund.

Liquor Licence Regulations

Under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 it is an offence to supply alcohol to a person under the age of 18 years (penalty exceeds $23,000) and for a person under the age of 18 years to purchase or receive liquor (penalty exceeds $900). Liquor Licence #32000056.

By accessing this site, you agree that you are at least 18.

Per Victorian Liquor Licencing requirements, first time deliveries to new customers must be accepted by someone over 18 years of age and able to provide proof in the form of valid photo identification.

If you place a gift order, the recipient must be over 18 years of age and able to provide proof in the form of valid photo identification. If it cannot be delivered you may be liable for return shipping fees which will be deducted from the refund of the order when we receive the returned order.

We are obligated to record all failed delivery attempts and reported to Victorian Liquor Licensing.

Delayed or Missing Orders

Our site will give you an estimate of the delivery timeframe at checkout. If your order is reasonably outside of this timeframe, please contact us at shop@rathdownecellars.com.au with your order number and any other pertinent details so we can follow up with our delivery partners. 

Returns

Rathdowne Cellars hopes that you will enjoy each and every bottle we offer, though great wine is sometimes a matter of personal taste. For this reason, we cannot offer refunds or swaps of wines without reasonable cause to believe that a wine is faulty or an error has been made on our part. 

If you are unsure if your wine has a definitive fault, such as cork taint (TCA), you are welcome to bring the bottle to the shop and one of our staff will help identify the issue if there is one. 

If you have made an error and ordered the wrong item, please contact us to discuss options regarding returns for store credit. If the item was freighted to you, there may be additional shipping costs associated with your return and replacement where applicable. 

Vintages + Product Images

Product images are provided as a sample only, and may not depict the correct label or vintage date. To the best of our ability, we endeavour to update or accurately depict a product's vintage in the image displayed, however this is not always possible. If you are unsure, check the title of the product for an accurate vintage date.
