"A notably ripe nose has a mildly roasted character to it yet there is still good freshness to the poached plum, cassis and softly spicy aromas. There is equally good verve to the succulent but punchy and delicious flavors that are decidedly compact and tightly wound today on the impressively long and austere finish. This is very Taillepieds in the sense that it's borderline strict, yet the underlying components are present for this to be superb one day." Outstanding, 91-94 … more

Domaine Chignard Beaujolais Fleurie Les Moriers Non Filtré 2022
This "Non Filtré" is an unfiltered version that is bottled just for Australia and US.
"This is not simply a Fleurie, it is Fleurie "Les Moriers," and les Moriers is a steep vineyard that penetrates down into the Moulin-à-Vent zone. The result is like a marriage of the two. That explosive, floral Fleurie character emerges from an intense, regal, tannic, Moulin-à-Vent chassis. It is loaded with flavour and has an intense palate feel." - Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant

Domaine Chignard Juliénas Beauvernay 2022
This year we again have access to a little wine which comes from 1 hectare of vines inherited from his uncle. The vineyard faces 'plein sud' or directly south giving it excellent exposition to the ripening sun. The soil here is different to the pink granite of Fleurie; here we are on blue 'diorite' which is another type of igneous rock. The wine is very pretty, a gorgeous cherry colour and leads into charming aromas of strawberries, cherries and rocks. … more

Domaine Christian Moreau Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos 2020
"Slightly more apparent wood (though still nicely subtle) is present on the overtly floral-suffused nose where notes of lemongrass, mineral reduction and iodine add breadth. There is impressive volume to the powerful and delineated yet reasonably refined larger-scaled flavors that where the texture is akin to sucking on tiny rocks. The balanced bone-dry finish is refreshingly crisp in no small part thanks to the citrus-tinged acidity. Drink 2030+. 92-94 points" - Allen Meadows, Burghound

Domaine Courbis Cornas Eygats 2018
"From a cooler parcel of pure granite soils, the 2018 Cornas Les Eygats is probably the most classic Cornas in the lineup (although these all have plenty of Cornas character) with its more mineral, iron, and almost bloody style. Loaded with massive amounts of blue and black fruits, violets, and crushed rock nuances, this full-bodied, multi-dimensional, seamless Cornas has polished tannins, flawless balance, and a monster of a finish. This broad, expansive, sexy Cornas should drink well for 20+ years." … more

Domaine d'Ouréa Gigondas 2017 375ml
"Full-bodied and supple, the Gigondas from Domaine D'Ourea boasts ripe cherry fruit, hints of spicy, peppery complexity and a long, fruit-driven finish.'' 93 Points, Wine Advocate Magazine
"This has classic notes of spiced red and black fruits, garrigue, mint, and basil. It's elegant, medium-bodied, has fine tannins, good balance, and a clean, finish. It's has terrific complexity as well as charm." 91 Points, Jeb Dunnuck
