Non-chill filtered, and bottled at cask strength, this Rye has a surprising amount of depth considering the age. On the nose there is the smell the corn creeping up alongside big beautiful wintergreen, minty rye spice notes. The spices are a bit perfumey, in a good way. On the palate, this young rye just explodes with flavour. The sweet corn notes are present, but thankfully the rye wintergreen, mint notes are able to steal the show. This is another great example of an excellent young rye. Just goes to show that Rye doesn't need lots of age to be great!
