80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon
Made by the Château Maucamps family, Terrefort Lescalle is a Merlot dominant bottling grown in the cool, clay soils of their property in the Haut-Médoc. A richer, fuller character in the fruit is tamed by minimal winemaking, focusing more on old barrel and steel. Allowing the fruit to breathe does it wonders, making for a lovely modern style of Bordeaux rouge.
