Hailing all the way from the rich granite soils of Vila de Monção è Malgaço, in the Vinho Verde DOC of Portugal, we have this pithy Alvarinho - aka Albariño. It’s a more elegant expression of the variety, dry and fresh, with notes of lime pith and kiwifruit on the front of the palate, transitioning into crystalline minerality and subtle salinity to the finish. Open on a hot day, preferably with fresh seafood or perhaps silky fresh pasta. Drinking wonderfully now, but will definitely develop in complexity with age.
