The Truscott Block is situated at 550 metres in the Piccadilly subregion of the Adelaide Hills and is over 30 years of age. This wine displays the power of Piccadilly showcasing why it is so sought after as a subregion. Matchstick flint, honey flowers, ripe citrus and peach on the nose follow to a palate that is packed with yellow and white stone fruits, lemon curd, baked orchard fruits and dried ginger spice. There’s a subtle mealiness that comes through from lees contact, and the overall richness of longer hang time in Piccadilly shines through. There is significant acid line in this wine, though, and the line and length create linear focus, interest and complexity of structure.
