If ever there were a happy medium between bubblegum Beaujolais nouveaus and the Cru Beaujolais destined for the cellar, les Griottes would be that. It's bright and juicy, conjuring a note much like the fruits grown on the cherry trees that flank the vineyard. But it's by no means a simple wine, offering layers of darkness and levity that will tittilate the senses.
