Boscarelli Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2019

Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, 'king of all wines' according to poet Francesco Redi in the 17th century, bears a family resemblance to both Chianti Classico and Brunello, as it is made from clone of Sangiovese that, in this region, is known as Prugnolo Gentile.

"An understated Vino Nobile with discreet minerals, spiced plums, cumin and tarry savoriness that needs some time to pull together and open up further. Quite nicely chewy and tight, with a full-bodied palate and a clean, mineral finish. A little demanding now, but shows potential. Best after 2024." - 93 points, James Suckling
