The delightful Angela Martin and her husband, Andrew McCarthy, run the Castro Martin estate in Rias Baixas, on Spain's Galician coast, where production of Albarino at their bodega can be traced back to as far as 1887. Classic Albarino hallmarks show generously in this wine - a fragrant, opulent nose that is tempered by teeth-chattering acidity and saline texture.

Located in the Val do Salnés sub-zone, Palacio de Fefiñanes dates back to 1904 and is situated in a historic baronial palace built around 1620. All wines produced are 100% Albariño.
Fresh fruit, floral notes and a subtle herbaceous element combine magnificently to produce this enticing silky white with pleasing minerality and refreshing acidity. Balanced, distinctive and elegant.

We rarely see Albarino - arguably Spain’s best known & most popular white variety - at this low price. If you imagine a blend of Riesling, unwooded Chardonnay and Viognier, you’re on the right track. Fresh, aromatic, fragrant. Mid-weight, crunchy and zippy on the palate. Basically, delicious.

Importers Notes - "Nashi gains a lifted tropical scent, mentholated lime and green mango; the palate is similarly rich with tropical splendour and ripe pear, edged by limey acid and a granitic, gravelly mineral finishing perfume and textural nip. Beautiful balance of the perfumed and the savoury is an outstanding feature."
