Calvados Comte Louis de Lauriston is made in the farms of the Domfrontais regions. The use of around 50% of pears in the production process, the single distillation and the granite soils of the region give Calvados Comte Louis de Lauriston a unique style.

This "8 year old" Calvados has been produced following the strict criteria of the label "Calvados Pays d'Auge", using only Cider apples from Pays d'Auge. Their apple trees yield about twenty varieties of cider apples : sweet, bitter-sweet,bitter and acidulous. In the mid 1800s Pierre Groult starting distilling the family cider to produce Calvados. By 1893 the vision paid off with the first gold medal being awarded helping the distillery gain a reputation around Normandy. 5 generations on, Jean Roger Groult continues the family tradition. The Doyen dage is a blend with an average age of at least 70 years. Concentrated, rich and velvety its heady mix of baked apples, smoke, orange blossoms, tobacco and vanilla.

A young, vibrant calvados distilled from apple and pear in the Domfrontais region of Normandy.
