A vibrant colour with a touch more than usual due to the sunshine. Lovely florals and lemon grass aromas. Mouth filling flavours of pear and lemon pith balancing the zesty acid backbone. The aromas and fruit weight belie the 10.8% alcohol and reconfirms that the Hunter Valley produces fruit at optimal ripeness at much lower sugar levels. A classic Hunter Valley Semillon to enjoy now or will age gracefully over many years.

A terrific version of Nebbiolo, that showcases just how well the Beechworth region is doing with this oftimes fickle variety.
Winery Notes - "The single acre of Nebbiolo is grown in a cool, protected southerly pocket on the corner of shale at the southern end of the property. This soil holds more water than the granite, allowing the typically large canopy to maintain its integrity throughout the summer, usually without supplementary irrigation. Tiny yields of three or four bunches per … more

Late harvest Petit Manseng. Aromas of baked pineapple, grapefruit, honey, dried apricot and lemon. Great balance between fruit sweetness, acidity and texture. Fresh, bright and delicious! 60 grams per litre residual sugar.

Producer: Fighting Gully Road
Region: Beechworth
Fighting Gully Road is a Beechworth staple that we here at the Cellars are big fans of. Their commitment to their site is undeniable, and it shows in the wines. The Pinot leans a little Burgundian, exhibiting earthy depth over overt fruit character, with firm tannin structure and bold acidity that takes us out of Beechworth and straight into Pommard. While it's drinking very well now, it will also benefit from time in the cellar.

This vintage's rosé is made from Sangiovese and Aglianico, and it shows on the nose. Lifted scents of red cherry and campari leap out of you, while the palate is as refreshing as you could hope for. Pour yourself a glass and be transported to the seaside, with a campari spritz in one hand and a good book in the other.

Incorporating a small portion of Colorino, and old Tuscan variety traditionally used in the production of Chianti, this wine was created to capture the essence of that style. The wine was made for immediate enjoyment, but like Chianti Classico, can be aged for a number of years to create greater complexity. Enticing aromas of sour cherry and plum, with nuances of dried herb. Fine tannins and acidity combine with ripe fruit to produce a medium-full bodied palate with persistent flavour. … more

As close to Ribeira del Duero as you can get without ever leaving Australia. Clever viticulture and winemaking has preserved varietal character from the Tempranillo, with a little extra resting time to soften the tannins. Brooding and earthy fruit, this Aussie Tempranillo will convert even the hardiest of Spanish vino dedicates.

Grown and tended to in Beechworth by viticulturist Mark Walpole, and crafted by Adrien Rodda, this wine is a brisk and vibrant Verdicchio. It highlights varietals characters of bright, fresh green pear and lime juice like acidity, combined with toasted almond savouriness and a little bit of grip and chew, making it a great wine to pair with food.

Producer Notes - "This Cabernet comes from an excellent neighbouring site planted on ancient decomposed granite, loam and clay soils that are typical of the local area. These soils are ideal for wine quality as they provide good drainage and are high in mineral content without being too rich.
A comforting tone of magenta and black; violets, crushed leaf, cedar and polished leather with some crunchy red berry fruit. As it opens-up, a delicious core of bright red fruits corseted … more

The junior version of the famous Giaconda chardonnay, made from 100% Beechworth GI fruit.
Producer Notes - "A bountiful offering of yellow peach, meal, hazelnut underpinned by citrus notes and a soupçon of funky characters sitting quietly over the top. Much the same occurs on the palate. Ripe stone fruits supported by delicious spicy oak notes that effortlessly underpin gobs of fruit. A joyous expression of flesh on the bones chardonnay, accompanied by a suite of well integrated acid and … more

Producer Notes - "100% Estate grown. This wine encapsulates the typical characters of earthiness and vibrant perfume from a cooler vintage. The result is a more delicate wine when contrasted to our usual Estate Vineyard release.
An earthy, red fruit laden pinot noir that looks more Burgundian than Australian, given its savoury edge and tannin structure. The cooler year has delivered more in a red-fruited spectrum, pretty and dainty but nonetheless with a traditional spine of tannin. This wine will … more

100% Roussane from Beechworth GI.
Producer Notes - "This wine represents another step in the progression of our winemaking for this variety, prior to releasing a fully-fledged Estate Vineyard wine, for which the first release is expected next year (April 2024).
A compote of soft poached pears, melon, apricot kernel, and Meyer lemon scented leaves, with a gentle zephyr of smoky, peaty aromas wafting in the background. Immediately satisfying with its richness and creamy belly of spiced white stone fruits, … more

Producer Notes - "This wine has been made from select parcels of fruit sourced from the exceptional Warner Vineyard.
A rather appealing bouquet of baked beets, briary notes and roasted meat pan juices coupled with red to black cherries. It's sumptuous and rounded on the palate with a rolling combination of red fruits, spicy oak infusions underpinned by a tremendous layer of fine, savoury tannins. It certainly needs decanting to help open-up the bouquet, whilst also allowing the fruit to … more
