Alexakis Assyrtiko 2021
"Around 5,000 years ago, the Minoans settled the Southern Aegean, including the island of Thira (Santorini). Today, in Crete, farmers are cultivating the ancient variety Assyrtiko which originated from the island of Santorini. The Alexakis brothers source these grapes from high-elevation vineyards where ancient winepresses have survived since the Bronze Age. The wine is tank-fermented and aged sur lie for three months." Alexakis Kotsifali 2019
"Alexakis Kotsifali has attractive, juicy aromas of strawberries and liquorice that evolve into sour cherry on the palate. The tannins are delicate and ripe, typical for the variety. Bright acid makes the wine easy-drinking. The round, polished body and juicy finish with rich strawberry flavour make it simply irresistible." Winemaker's Notes

Nico Lazaridi Cavalieri Assyrtiko 2022
According to Mythology, Mount Pangaio was a place of sanctuary to Dionysus - rather appropriate then that Nico Lazaridi planted grapes here in the 90s. Producing a variety of local heritage vines, they are a wonderful source of benchmark Greek wines. Their Assyrtiko is a wonderful classic expression, rich texture on the palate is tempered by sea spray salinity and fresh acidity.

Thymiopoulos Young Vines Xinomavro 2021
Xinomavro is one of Greece's most iconic native varieties, alongside the pithy white grape Assyrtiko. The styles and levels of quality Xinomavro produces are wide and variable, with some showing bright red fruit and juicy, gluggable palates - a la the Thymiopolous here - while others show darkness, earthy notes and intense structure. For now, introduce yourself gently with this vibrant, youthful drinking example.
