The 2017 vintage was one of the best in recent memory and has produced Semillons of the highest quality. Solid rains in winter and spring meant that vines had constant access to water and the warmer weather in the new year meant all of the fruit was in near perfect condition and ripeness when it was harvested. Tyrrells Hunter Valley Shiraz 2022

Sourced from a small selection of our favourite shiraz blocks, the grapes were both hand and machine picked before fermentation in the traditional open top vats. The wine was then matured in older, large format French oak casks. These 2,700 litre casks highlight the fruit purity whilst making sure that oak isn’t the dominant character.

Producer's note: "The Chardonnay and Pinot Noir combine well to create a sparkling wine that is light and fresh. The nose shows an abundance of citrus and strawberry characters, with a hint of yeasty complexity. The palate is fine and delicate with the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir working seamlessly together. This, along with the richness and complexity gained from the secondary ferment, produces a wonderfully balanced sparkling wine."
