If you're a fan with their premium range of wines, then I guarantee you'll be a fan of the estate Chardonnay from Deepwoods. Quintessential Margaret River, pithy grapefruit acid, tart apricot and a touch of honeyed sweetness from just the right amount of time ageing in oak.

60% Syrah, 40% Grenache.
Unusually for Cotes du Rhone this is majority Shiraz, rather than Grenache. As a result the Saint-Esprit's deep color has a dark, plum-like hue. The nose is classical Syrah, with berry fruit, violet and licorice. It has a full, rounded palate with delicate tannins. Excellent value.

"The 2016 Hermitage Les Bessards offers more violets and floral notions with hints of blue fruits (cassis blueberries) full-bodied richness and building sweet polished tannin. It's another ripe opulent 2016 that's going to drink nicely in its youth yet age gracefully given its purity and balance. While a step back from the otherworldly 2015 this brilliant wine is one of the gems in the vintage.94-97 points" - Jeb Dunnuck

Winery Notes - "This comes from the solera of manzanilla Zuleta. This wine begins as Manzanilla and therefore has a biological aging in a first phase, but after losing the characteristic layer of flor yeast it undergoes an oxidative stage. 100% Palomino variety, with about 8 or 9 years of aging in American oak casks, using the traditional Criaderas & Solera system.
It is clean and bright with an intense golden color. With very intense nose and nuances of biological … more

Bottled, April 2024. Fantastic value Manzanilla, and a great introduction to the dry end of Spanish Sherry. Light, flinty, salty, a little herbal (chamomile) with the tang of sea air that defines the manzanilla style. Bottled in screwcap & with the bottling date in English on the back. Delicious & progressive.
"We bottle and ship fresh every two months, to ensure this definitively crisp, refreshing young white wine is always in spanky form. Camomile and oyster-shell aromatics, Chablis-like mid-palate fruit, … more

Winery Notes - "The most sought-after wine in the nooks of bodegas. It combines all the virtues of the best Amontillados on the nose and of the finest Olorosos in the mouth. It is a wine which was born by chance, the result of a mystery yet to be solved. Complex, very long equally suited for solitary meditation and lively conversation among friends."
100% Palomino variety. Initially this wine is subject to biological aging process, however, less than an Amontillado; … more

Prosper Delord was a travelling distiller who upon discovering Armagnac fell in love with the spirit and decided to start Maison Delord in 1893. Today Jerome and Sylvain Delord, Propers great grandchildren continue the tradition with the same passion, knowledge and love that has been handed down through the generations. First inhalations draw out caramel and dark honey followed by vanilla and hints of pipe tobacco. The customary Armagnac fruits are restrained. Medium bodied, raisiny and semi-sweet with broad flavours … more

Caramel, candy, vanilla, nut and a whole selection of tasting goodies. Initial punchy liffted notes, with hints of rancio that travels from fruitiness to sweetness and vice versa.

"Made with 10% whole bunches and matured in French puncheons (33% new). A medium ruby garnet. A little reduction, which quickly blows off to reveal aromas of wild strawberries, damson plums, a little rose petal and subtle hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. There's good intensity on the medium-bodied palate together with fine but firm tannins. This will only get better over the next four to six years, if not longer." 95 points, Philip Rich, The Wine Companion
