Named after the mountain on which it resides, Monteraponi is located in the village of Radda with vineyards ranging from 420-650m in altitude - some of the highest in Chianti. This is pure Sangiovese Nirvana and as study in classicism.

"The 2024 harvest experienced generally favorable weather, with a rainy winter, a regular spring, and a warm but not extreme summer. The protected nature of Monteraponi’s estate meant they were well protected from the infrequent extremes of the vintage, and the resultant grapes were really healthy with very high quality skins, good ripeness and well-formed tannins.
The fruit this year has some blue notes coupled with red cherries and currants that are always at play. As always, it is perfumed and lifted on the nose with Monteraponi’s high toned character. It is particularly fine boned, with subtle spice and its presence is overarchingly elegant - with structure, typicity and ageability to boot."
