A first for Timo - well as best we know - he's leaning into the trend for having both a cheaper option, and also a lighter younger drinking style (not that his Pinot's really needs that much age!).
A 75/25 blend, with the Syrah sourced from Gembrook in the Upper Yarra. Half whole bunch, half destemmed, and is frankly everything you'd expect from both Timo, and this blend!
Quite dark in colour. Perfumed nose with Syrah leading the aromatics. The palate though leads with plenty of Pinot Noir characteristics, bolstered by the Shiraz which adds a little extra depth and savoury spice with an almost Northern Italian feel. Could be chilled, but likely best at cool room temp as it opens even more with air.
