Instead of the usual exotic fruit notes, the 2023 Riesling impresses with a clear fruit aroma dominated by golden yellow local fruit. The acidity characteristic of Riesling is particularly spicy in this vintage and requires a great deal of finesse during dealcoholization. But it is precisely this spicy acidity, well balanced, that gives the wine a special tension and ensures an excellent drinking flow.Riesling is one of the stronger contenders in the non-alc wine space, it's natural acidity and exotic fruit notes more than making up for what it loses in the de-alcoholisation process. Kolonne/Null's non-alcoholic Mosel Riesling is one of the better examples we've seen, striking a careful balance between fruit flavour and tart citrus acidity.
