Hutton Vale Farm was first established in 1843 by John Howard Angas, and now managed by the current custodians, seventh-generation Stuart and Caitlin Angas. Situated next door to the Mt Edelstone Vineyard that was planted by Ronald Angas, this has to be one of the most historic properties/wineries in Australia.
The 'old' block that comprises this wine, was planted in the 1960s with cuttings taken from the nearby Mt Edelstone vineyard.
"A special vineyard that routinely expresses blueberries laced with graphite, sheets of hung deli meat, raspberry, ground white pepper, fresh nutmeg and littered with crushed pink peppercorns." - Erin Larkin, Wine Companion
