Light, greenish mahogany. Much more intense and concentrated than the 10-year-old Malmsey tasted just before it. Less open than the 10-year-old Sercial however. Pretty dry and very delicate. Lovely fresh finish. Very good wine but not such good value as the 10-year-old.
