100% Riesling, grown in the esteemed Alsatian Grand Cru of Altenberg de Bergheim. Midway down the snaking stretch of land that is Alsace, Bergheim faces due southwards in fan that displays limestone and marl intertwined with stony red clays. As one of two Grand Crus permitted to blend varieties, it's less common to see a Riesling focused wine from this cru. This is somewhat explained by the undeniable quality of Lorentz's Riesling, produced from vines aged between 30 and 50 years old.
