Johannes Hasselbach, Gunderloch

The combination of three terraces of Roter Hang steep single vineyards - Rothenberg, Pettenthal and Hipping - composed of red slate and stone. This 2024 has a soft and silky texture, flavours of ripe yellow plums, white cherries and nectarines, with lifted scent of wild cherry blossom and lime flower. Mouth-watering freshness and the juicy peach-like off-dry palate feels like an amusement park. Slightly salted and honey-like finish, toned with the smoothness lingers and echoes for a long (very long) time.
Anne Krebeihl MW, vinous

The 2024 Riesling Jean Baptiste Kabinett is named after the estate’s founder. This was picked in the lower reaches of Pettenthal. Red apple beckons on the nose with crunchy juiciness and an edge of tansy. The palate is so fluid, with gentle sweetness and a slight smattering of white pepper. This is full of energy and tingling freshness. (Off-dry).
