From Kevin Judd, winemaker behind Cloudy Bay's rise to fame, we have the Greywacke Estate Pinot Noir, grown in the cool clay of Marlborough's Southern Valleys. This Pinot Noir is among the best examples of what Marlborough Pinot can offer. Boysenberry fruit up front, with a fine grained tannin and dark plum fruit on the mid-palate, transitions eamlessly into five spice, bayleaf & bergamot on the finish. 2023 was a cooler vintage, but a lot better in the South Island than the North, yielding a wine with pronounced aromatics and definite potential for ageing.
