Felton Road's bottling from the iconic Calvert vineyard is synonymous with the identity of Central Otago. This site, located in Bannockburn, encompasses a patchwork mix of silty clay, quartz sand, schist and quartz gravels. Sitting lower in elevation than some of the other great vineyards in Cenral Otago, it more than makes up for it with glorious sun exposure, and often yields tight, dense bunches of high quality fruit. Felton Road's bottling exemplifies this, showing great concentration on the palate and a remarkable aromatic finesse. Notes of wild strawberry, preserved morello cherry, finishing savoury with allspice and thyme on the finish.
