Outstanding - Allen Meadows, Burghound

Bertrand Chevillon, who is normally pretty restrained, did not equivocate in calling 2020 a "superb vintage though another one that was hot, dry and early. [...] Pungent aromas of reduction and wood serve as a pungent introduction to the sleek, intense and velvet-textured middle weight flavors that are at once powerful yet refined before terminating in a strikingly long, balanced and complex finale. This youthfully austere effort is terrific and is potentially one of the best examples of this wine Chevillon has ever made.
