Allen Meadows, Burghound
Bertrand Chevillon, who is normally pretty restrained, described 2022 as a "superb vintage despite some of our vines in the southern part of Nuits being struck by hail. [...] A subtle but not invisible application of wood sets off more deeply pitched aromas of plum, dark currant and a hint of forest floor. There is both more volume and power, if a bit less refinement, to the attractively textured medium-bodied flavors that possess the classic youthful austerity of a classic Bousselots. This too is lovely though note well it is built-to-age.
