Belinda Thomson - Winemaker
With a little air, this wine rewards with wild blueberries, redcurrants and dried cherries. A darker spectrum of fruit shows on the palate, evoking baked plum, subtle liquorice, flint and woody spice. Intrinsically connected to site, the finesse of the tannins lends gentle texture from the ironstone, together with an inky edge and earthy perfume. The saline quality from the limestone gives softness to the natural acidity which is elongated and persistent. Carefully judged oak supports structure and tannin shape, with much of it second use and therefore background, rather than foreground. This has a long life ahead of it.
95 Points - Phillip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion

A medium, bright ruby. Nuanced cabernet aromas of blackcurrant, dark plum, tobacco leaf and some cedar from the already well-integrated oak. Medium bodied, with ripe, fine-grained tannins and good depth of fruit.
