Château-Grillet "one of the greatest wines of France," as La Revue du Vin de France puts it; it is also one of the most inimitable and smallest of France’s historic terroirs. Recently, Dan Keeling penned a thoughtful article in Noble Rot Issue 33 in which he described Grillet as "...arguably France’s most paradisiacal vineyard and enigmatic white wine." On Grillet’s past, Keeling writes, "It’s easy to imagine generations of people looking up at Château-Grillet’s fairy-tale towers high on the hillside, and viscerally feeling themselves in the presence of majesty."

"The great wine of Château Grillet shifts into another gear, with a wine of great purity, with notes of buckwheat, fresh herbs, white fruits and superb length. A wine to keep in the cellar." 97 points, La Revue du Vins de France"The 2021 Château-Grillet is a more subtle rendition compared to the surrounding vintages. Swirling the glass unlocks linden blossom, lime flesh, apricot, white peach and discrete cedar tones. This is a refined Château-Grillet with precisely sculpted aromas and flavors. Like in 2020, the fruit is just ripe, which helps to retain a wonderful sense of freshness. Offering a seamless mouthfeel and a saline touch on the elegant finish, the 2021 is utterly delicious. Only 2,300 bottles were produced." 96 points, Nicolas Greinacher, Vinous
