Notes From the Winery

First created with the 1979 vintage, Champagne Charlie quickly became an icon, embodying rarity,
finesse, and absolute excellence. Produced for only a few vintages (1979, 81, 82, 83 and 85), the
cuvée was then set aside. Decades later, in 2022, the legend was revived with Champagne
Charlie Mis En Cave 2017, reconnecting with its roots while embracing a modern vision of
exceptional champagne. This renaissance pays homage to the original spirit of the cuvée while
upholding the relentless quest for excellence that defines the House. The "Cellared in 2020"
iteration is only the second since the revival of the cuvée.
