Castro Ventosa takes its name from the Roman-era hilltop fortification, the "Castle of the Winds". It looks down over the village of Valtuille de Abajo, and the Pérez family has owned and farmed vineyards around that ruin since 1752.
Sourced from sites across the village, fermented and aged in a mixture of foudre and 500l barrels, slightly reductive, textural and driven with yellow stone fruits and citrus.
