Carinus Colombard is a crisp, dry South African white wine made from the Colombard grape grown on Carinus' iron rich decomposed granite vineyard in the Swartland region.
Danie and Hugo are sixth generation wine grape growers with well-established vineyards in the Swartland, as well as Devon Valley and Polkadraai in Stellenbosch. The two friends - and distant relatives - began making wine in 2011.
This Colombard comes from their Roodraai farm just outside Malmesbury.
It is crisp with refreshing pear & green apple fruit, displaying Colombard's hallmark driven line of acid, but not overdone with fresh, zippy acidity. A saline quality adds
length to the finish.
