From the hot and above all dry 2022 vintage, Fabio Alessandria and his family decided not to bottle any of their single MGA Barolo wines and instead bottled a single Barolo, Burlotto Barolo 2022. Fabio explained "We sat down as a family to taste the wines, .... The 2022 Barolos were good, but we just did not see the differences in the sites that we usually do, so we chose to make a single Barolo."

The 2022 Barolo is stellar. It is certainly the wine of the vintage, taking into account quality at a price that is likely to remain quite fair.... The 2022 offers up copious dark nebbiolo fruit along with hints of leather, spice box, mint, blood orange and white pepper. Time in the glass does wonders, as the 2022 continues to open with a bit of aeration. It's a gorgeous wine in every way
