Crimson, named not for the colour of the wine or, indeed, the nose and palate of the wine, is a nod to Project Crimson, a native flora preservation project that works to rejuvenate and preserve the pohutakawa and rata trees in New Zealand. That being said, there is a definite crimson gleam to the wine - notes of red roses, rooibos and fresh red plums, overtop of supple, tongue-tickling tannins.
