"Vauprin" is a vineyard located in the village of Lignorelles (North Western corner of Chablis) and is known for being one of the highest altitude parcels in Chablis.
This particular wine is fermented in stainless steel, but then aged 50% in 2-5 year old barriques and 50% in stainless. Without the oak to "tame" the wine, thios would be one serious searing Chablis! As it is it has wonderful texture, grea mineral drive and excellent Chardonnay fruit aromatics.
This is one of the few Chablis that manages to blend the classic mineral terroir, with wonderful chardonnay fruit persistence.
