The result of a selected blend of wines made from Grillo and Catarratto grapes, it has been a jealously guarded secret for years. With a bright color with amber reflections, it has intense and complex aromas of apricot, dates and spices. Full and enveloping on the palate with traces of caramel and bitter almonds, it has a very persistent finish. Aged for a minimum of 20 years in Slavonian oak barrels and French barriques. 18% Alchohol this Marsaala is considered dry with 36g/l residual sugar. Think Amontillado Sherry with a hint of sweetness.
