"Le Mic Macvin" is Lulu Vigneron's spin on Macvin du Jura-a fortified wine made by halting fermentation with a splash of Marc (Ludwig's own) and aging the blend for complexity. It's made from 100% Savagnin resulting in a sweet but structured wine that smells like dried apricot, toasted walnuts, sea salt, and spice, with a luscious texture and electric snap on the finish. It's nutty and floral, savory and sweet. Serve it lightly chilled as either a pre-dinner aperitif or match it with cheese or dessert.
