"Ennio and Carol Merli established their vineyard (pinot noir) on a sheltered and sunny southwest slope. The vineyard is managed by the second generation, sons Jonathan and David, who both have degrees in viticulture and wine science, and extensive experience working in vineyards and wineries in Australia and overseas. Under their guidance there has been a growing emphasis on sustainable/organic viticultural and winemaking practises, and a particular focus on increasing the clonal range and volume of pinot noir." - James Halliday
