This is an exceptionally elegant Barolo with great depth. It shows strawberry and raspberry, as well as lifted floral notes on the nose. It has balanced acidity and freshness, delivering cherry, spice and delicious savoury undertones, with fine, well-structured tannins. The fruit comes from the south-west-facing portion of the Montanello Cru. Fermentation and maceration take 25 days and then it is aged in
only 2500 litre Slavonian oak botti for 24 months before being aged further in bottle.
