Since 1989, the estate has also produced this magical, botrytized dessert wine selected from one, two or all three vineyards. When made, the Cuvée Constance (named for Gaston's mother) ranks among the world's greatest dessert wines. It is a wine of such captivating purity, precision and complexity that it is almost indescribable. Its straw-coloured robe is green with golden hues. The nose titillates the taster's sense of smell with its scents of apricot jam, candied grapefruit, quince, bergamot and flowers. The palate evokes fresh peach, citrus, honey, acacia flower, quinine, chalk and piquant mango.
