Jacques Carillon (brother of François) runs this 5.2ha domaine of which Les Referts makes up just 0.2ha. 'Jacques thinks this is the most mineral of his premier crus' being located next to the middle region of Meursault Charmes. As Jasper Morris notes 'this vineyard makes relatively full bodied' wines with marl mixed into clay limestone soils. 2021 was a cooler vintage with april frosts decimating the region, Jacques notes that his premier cru yields were down 80% across the board.
