The Chalumeaux terroir is located near Hameau de Blagny, on a hillside facing east and on very rocky marly limestone soil. It has a beautiful aromatic complexity that combines concentration and finesse. Floral aromas and notes of roasted hazelnuts are underlined by an elegant minerality."

Once again there is a lovely texture to the vibrant, rich and nicely detailed medium-bodied flavors that also conclude in a lemony and sneaky long finish that is quite dry but not really austere. This stony effort is a wine of finesse and balance that could use better depth so a few years of keeping should prove beneficial."
