From the Kersbrook Vineyard, 300 metre above sea level, at the northern end of the Adelaide Hills. Fermented in seasoned French oak, the wine rested on lees for 8 months to build complexity.

A mouthful of wine on the palate, it could be described as unctuous if there wasn't so much acid drive. Where this grape has green almond notes in the Abruzzese versions, Matt's is nutty in a way that feels slightly oxidative and savoury. There are yellow orchard fruits, preserved lemon and dried spice. More textural than the 2024, with chew and delicate grip, it's complex, flavoursome and sapid, and in simple terms, it's a wine that makes you smile when you drink it.
