Serrat Wines
Serrat Pinot Noir 2024
Producer Notes - "This wine is from the original planting of MV6 Pinot Noir, plus a proportion of newer plantings of 848, MV6, 943 and Pommard clone. We added about 30% whole bunch in the ferments in 2024, which has given the wine quite a punchy and fragrant aroma, that evolves nicely as the wine sits in the glass. It was aged in 500 litre French oak puncheons, on lees for 11 months. 25% new Tronacis oak. The bouquet is dominated by the darker cherry and a plummy hint coupled with red fruit spectrum, strawberry, raspberry, spice, cherry, with detailed fragrance and floral notes. The new clones are adding an extra level of extract and tannic concentration which is exciting, the palate is tightly wound but underneath a silky and voluminous mouthfeel. Serious extract and density. Best 2030-2040"
