'Las Uvas de la Ira' translates as 'The Grapes of Wrath,' a title borrowed from John Steinbeck's classic novel. As the literary reference hints at, Dani's wines are cerebral, beautiful to drink, but framed by the winemaker's engagement with the agricultural history of his homeland.
Las Uvas de la Ira is the village wine of San Vicente, a town in the Valle del Tietar subzone of the Sierra de Gredos, although using the 'village' probably undersells the calibre of the … more
This is the sixth release of our DAOSA Natural Réserve from our Piccadilly Valley vineyards. This wine is a Pinot Noir and Chardonnay blend with a drop of Pinot Meunier, made following the principles of our Method ClassicTM. The wine shows classic Pinot Noir characters with subtle strawberry notes and ripe Chardonnay fruit on the middle palate, tempered by a fine bead and a beautiful complexity and length from the Réserve wines. A classic example of Australian sparkling wine, made … more

As local as one could ask, with the distillery a mere 2km away from us in the old Royal Hotel in Clifton Hill... how could we say no!
Layers of bright citrus from fragrant orange, mandarin and native myrtle melt into the warmth of Tasmanian pepperberry and the heady spice of coriander and lemongrass. Earthy undertones of fresh picked rosemary and green tea are rounded by lashings of local rooftop honey and freshly churned butter.

AOC Bas Armagnac (Grand Bas Armagnac). Age: 40 years Minimum
At 40 years, the Armagnac's style is definitely apparent. The quality of the oak used is very important, as the right use of a quality barrel will bring complexity and finesse to the Armagnac; elements that can be judged and appreciated after 40 years in contact with the wood.

Richly imbued with aromas of nectarine, guava and ruby grapefruit; with floral top-notes of apple blossom and elderflower. Softly textured with generous flavour, white peach, tangerine and Limoncello, while the bright natural acidity draws through to a crisp, clean finish.

Producers Notes - "Our 2023 Chardonnay has a minerally structure with a real fruit purity. We wanted to explore what the site had to offer in a lovely cool year, so we kept the winemaking very simple.
The fruit was hand-picked, sorted and whole bunch pressed straight into a selection of large format seasoned French oak barrels for wild fermentation. Half the barrels went through a spontaneous malolactic fermentation. The result is a citrus, elegant wine with a lovely underlying … more

Producers Notes - "Our 2023 Pinot Noir has all the classic blue fruits that come from the Coal River Valley's unique black clay soil. The fruit characters are dense, with a touch of Campari spice aroma, from the small whole bunch parcel. The region does fruit density exceptionally well, but we've tried to tease out a little perfume delicacy.
The fruit was hand-picked in two parcels. The first parcel fermented entirely as whole bunches. The second was de-stemmed, then cold … more

"This wine I feel is a perfect example of Deep Woods Reserve Cabernet and one that is very close to my heart. Great drinkability but amazing detail and tannin structure , wines like these I feel are Australia's greatest vinous gems." - Julian Langworthy
"A high-class cabernet that comes from the old vines of Deep Woods Estate and Abbey Vale. Delightful florals on the nose merge with dark blackcurrant and lifted bay leaf and subtle olive tapenade nuances. The palate … more

"Let's cut to the chase. The finest Deep Woods chardonnay yet. It has it all. Great fruit has been harnessed with whole bunch pressing and fermentation in new and seasoned French oak. Further lees stirring has built in texture, contributing to a thoroughly beautiful, refined mouth feel. Opens with a stone fruit and savoury light lemon curd aromas. Peels off into a palate that reveals more of a struck match and cracked seashell minerality complementing the outstanding fruit concentration. Super … more

60% Syrah, 40% Grenache.
Unusually for Cotes du Rhone this is majority Shiraz, rather than Grenache. As a result the Saint-Esprit's deep color has a dark, plum-like hue. The nose is classical Syrah, with berry fruit, violet and licorice. It has a full, rounded palate with delicate tannins. Excellent value.
