Winery Notes - "A wine that needs little introduction for true fans, the Eastern Peake 2023 Taché, a pinot noir rosé first produced by Norm and Di Latta in 1995 at the suggestion of Trevor Mast of Mt Langi Ghiran fame. The 1995 vintage was fermented in stainless and left to rest on less before bottling in November, just in time for Christmas. The Taché rosé was well received; dry and refreshing unlike most Australian rosé at the time.
Since 2008 Owen has been leaving the wine on elevage for longer and longer to gain complexity and texture. The 2023 vintage was no different, after fermentation the wine was left in stainless for about 12 months before being bottled with no fining or filtration. Due to the long cool harvest of 2023, this release of the Taché is supremely fine and complex."
