The Steading is much more than just Tobreck's version of the very classic Chateauneuf-du-Pape Grenache blend. The winery feels it is a wine that resides at the heart of Torbreck, exemplifying their belief in the preservation of Barossa Valley as a premium wine region.
Sourced primarily pre-phylloxera vines that survived not only the outbreak in the 1880s, but also the vine pull scheme in the 1980s, across 45 different sources including estate fruit and trusted local growers under a share-farming program. Separately vinified before being blended, the wine is smooth and supple, generously flavoursome with a lovely freshness.
